Wingaersheek beach, part 2

It was one of the first nice days of the spring - May 7, 2011 - and we decided to take Cecilia to the beach! We went to Wingaersheek beach, which is a little bit north of Boston, near Gloucester and Ipswich. I don't think Cecilia remembered the beach when she went at the age of 1 year old, so this was amazing to her, and we had so much fun! I think Pete already posted some pics/video of this in a previous entry, but I never got around to downloading the content off of my phone. So here it is:

Here are a full set of pictures, but this one is one of my favorites:

Here are also several videos. The first one is of her really discovering the beach, and, on her own, she starts digging and saying, "let's build a sand castle!"

Then we got her hard-core castle-building tools out (her pail and shovel) and went to work in earnest:

When it started getting a little too cold to run in and out of the water (see an earlier post), she had a lot of fun climbing the rocks with Daddy:

More fun at Epcott

Orlando was baking hot, even by the end of May. It got up to 90 degrees, and was humid. So it was no surprise the Cecilia wanted to play in the sprinklers one day at Epcott. She played in the sprinklers for almost an hour!

Of course, that was the one day I didn't bring an extra set of clothes for her, so I had to go buy a set at the Disney Store. It was a pretty funny get-up, particularly with the sunglasses:

Weirdest game with Uncle Bruce

Cecilia probably as much fun outside of Disneyworld as inside... When I asked her, she had a lot of fun playing with "Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Karen, Uncle Jake, Uncle Bruce, and... someone else..." That was Eileen, since she only met Eileen for the first time. :)

Grandma fed her a lot of food of course, Uncle Jake threw her up in the air and twirled her upside-down, which she always enjoys, and Karen spun her around and around in the chair. I don't have pics or videos of any of it, except for one totally weird game with Uncle Bruce, for which I have four videos. But I think they're worth putting here for the diehard fans:

Notice Karen and Grandma in the mirror, laughing at these antics. :)

Disneyworld!!

Cecilia and Mommy went to Disneyworld in May this year with the Jang family! I told her beforehand that we were going to ride the train, and she didn't quite get it - she kept on saying that at Disneyworld, "we gonna ride the bus and the train." I think she was referring to public transportation. But then I showed a couple youtube videos of various rides, and then she started saying "we ride rides! and the bus and the train." :)

She had an absolutely wonderful time though. She rode everything! Her favorite was the Dumbo ride.

Another big hit was riding the carousel with Grandma!

She also got to meet Winnie the Pooh...

who started dancing with Grandma and Cecilia!

And Pinocchio too...

There will another more family-oriented post later, but if you want to take a look at some of the photos ahead of time, they can be found here.

Laundry

Best thing since I taught her to shovel snow.

I can't wait until she's big enough to carry it up and down the stairs to the basement by herself too.

Bronwyn's Birthday Party Madness

My videographer skills are in full display in the last part...

Bronwyn is Cecilia's best friend at school and is a really great kid. She is a year older and Cecilia follows her everywhere and tries to do everything she does.
