The truth is we were inspired by Guy Fieri from the Food Network, who did an episode featuring classic fried clam shacks in New England. That ultimately led to us spending a day on the North Shore, around Plum Island and ending in Newberryport (the original Kitschport). Definitely the beach shown here was the highlight - Cecilia loved it and we all got to experience a beautiful deserted beach on a chilly late Winter day. The clams were pretty good too, a million pictures here.

Spring 2011 Fashion

Grandma Heaven

BenJen went to Paris the other weekend for their first getaway ever, so Grandma stayed with the boys. We spent the night Saturday and had a fun sleepover, Aaron and Cecilia manned the fort.

On the way home today she asked if we could go to Uncle Ben's house, and actually started "crying" when I told her we could not go today ("Not later, go now---"). She has been having a fair amount of temper tantrums lately, but I was still surprised to see how strongly she felt about it. It definitely makes me happy to see how much she loves going over there.

Learning to Interpret

I realized that when she has a total meltdown, writhing, thrashing, and screaming :"noooooo.......", it's the equivalent of me saying, "well all things considered I'd prefer you not zip up my jacket, but I'm cool with whatever".
