Mommy, Cecilia and Phillip

This is from back when Phillip was only about 6 weeks old...

More apple picking...

In October, Cecilia went apple picking again with Aaron, Jacob, Uncle Ben, and Grandma (giving her parents a much-needed break).

These videos and pics are mostly from Grandma, but I get the sense that Cecilia was much more interested in the pony-riding than the apple-picking, so she hung out with Grandma while Aaron and Jacob went apple picking.

Out with Daddy

When Phillip was very young, Cecilia and Daddy had a few outings together to get out of the house. Here is a brief video of a few of those:

Nana's crew reunion

In late September, we hosted a reunion for recent kids that had been at Tahamina's day care.

Incidentally, with all the background noise, it was the longest Phillip had ever slept in 1 month of life... I thought we should have a party at our house ALL the time.

Preschool apple picking field trip

In September, Cecilia went on a field trip with her preschool to go apple picking! Daddy was lucky enough to be able to go with her. The whole class was excited because they got to go in a yellow school bus and they learned how to pick apples (TWIST and PULL).

Cecilia was adorable in her overalls and boots.

She had a great time, and even got to pick out a pumpkin to bring home!

Jen's birthday

Auntie Jen had a birthday in early September, and what better way to spend it than baking a cake for yourself and letting your kids and all their cousins decorate it for you?

 

Cecilia was super proud of her new Cinderella costume and had to wear it to the party.

 

This was the first time many in the family had met Phillip, so almost everyone had a turn holding him:

Cecilia's ballet class

Cecilia went to ballet for the first time this past weekend. There is just about nothing cuter than 15 girls in pink tights, tutus and leotards dancing ballet. Cecilia has been putting on "ballet" shows for us some nights at home, so this was perfect for her. It was actually very impressive how the teachers kept the girls organized and following directions. Here is a huge video montage of the class, which goes for almost an hour. Unfortunately, Cecilia was all the way on the left, almost sitting behind a teacher, for the first part of the class, so it's a little difficult to spot her, but I tried to do some close ups. It's worth watching until the end, where they get to dance with a ribbon...

Feeding Phillip

Phillip tried "solids" for the first time yesterday - rice cereal. He seemed to really enjoy it and ate it right up. Cecilia helped out too!

Dana Park picnic

On Labor Day weekend, Phillip was only about 2 weeks old, so while other families went out of town, or went to the beach for the last time of the year, we went down the street to Dana Park for a picnic. Cecilia was such a big girl - she rode her tricycle the whole way there!

Once we were at Dana Park, we spread out our blanket in a bag, had a feast, and played. Cecilia had so much fun - she got to play with everyone, particularly with Daddy and Grandma:

Hiking with cousins

Right after Phillip was born, Pete took Cecilia on a hike with Ben, Aaron, and Jacob.
